Taryn has been dancing for over 20 years, training and performing across Canada and the United States. A lifelong student of dance, she has proudly completed her Advanced Cecchetti ballet examinations and has had the opportunity to perform in some incredible spaces, including Canada’s largest dance gala in support of SickKids and opening for Avril Lavigne at Canada’s Walk of Fame.
Taryn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance Dance from Toronto Metropolitan University and is also a graduate of Queen’s University’s School of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs, where she studied Arts Management.
Her experience has taken her across Canada with dance competitions, as both an educator and industry professional, and one of her favourite parts of the dance world is getting to meet new dancers, families, and friendly faces wherever she goes.
As a teacher, Taryn believes great dance training is rooted in strength, curiosity, and a genuine love of movement. She encourages dancers to ask questions, explore their artistry, challenge themselves, and recognize what makes them unique. Above all, she believes every dancer brings something special into the studio and deserves to feel supported, capable, and excited about their growth.
